THE Energy Minister is travelling to the North-west to attend a meeting with 400 former miners.
Brian Wilson will meet the group in Leigh tonight to discuss their calls for compensation over white finger and lung diseases.
The miners say the Government is dragging its feet over settling claims and wants the process speeded up.
It is a charge denied by ministers who say they are trying to get the money out as quickly as possible.
