A SCHOOL clerk has retired after 25 years in the job.
Margaret Duxbury yesterday spent her last day at St Theodore's RC High School, Burnley, which her three sons have attended and one of her three grandchildren is due to start in September.
She said the biggest change she had seen over the last 25 years was the introduction of computers to the school office. "Everybody has been so friendly here," said Margaret. "It's just like one happy family. I'm going to miss all my colleagues."
The 61-year-old, who lives off Colne Road, hopes to do more work for Burnley & Pendle Hospice in her retirement.
Currently she does clerical work there every fortnight.
She also hopes to take advantage of her retirement to go away on holiday more.
