RAMSBOTTOM clawed back from 2-1 down to win an entertaining NWCL Division One encounter against Congleton at the Riverside.
Manager Mike Kelly says he is now trying to arrange for all his games to be played on Tuesday nights after similar good results. John Phillips put the Rams ahead in the 17th minute before Ian Dyson equalised for the visitors on 65.
Mike Scully put Congleton in front but centre half Steven Sheils levelled the scores just 12 minutes before full-time and top scorer Russell Brierley popped up with the winner, his 33rd of the season, five minutes from time.
"I was happy especially after going 2-1 down," said Kelly. "They are not a bad side, they hammered Salford last week. I wondered whether we had the character to come back but they dug deep.
"I am going to see if we can have all our games on Tuesdays now because we keep winning!
"It was 100 miles per hour and you don't often hear this said but the referee was excellent. He didn't do anything, he just let the game flow"
