REDS boss John Coleman believes he has got the players in place - now they need to find the consistency if they are to do a 'Burton' next season.

Nigel Clough's side look virtual certainties for promotion from the UniBond Premier Division into the Conference with a 16 point gap at the top of the table - and Stanley are aiming to top the table by the end of next season.

This term has been a learning curve with an up-and-down season. A disastrous start was followed shortly afterwards by a run of 14 games without a loss.

Soon after it was six games without a league win but they got back on track and have now just chalked up five straight wins.

"It is just consistency and we have got to learn that when we have a hiccup we haven't to become hospitalised," said Coleman.

"We have to get out of it quickly. When Burton had a hiccup it was just two games.

"When we had one it went on longer than it should. It is a confidence thing.

"I have got the players here to get promotion but we are not putting our chances away.

"Our last five wins have been by the odd goal which is unusual for us.

"Usually we get ahead and then demolish sides.

"But we haven't been doing that, we have got to take our chances and this needs sorting out."

Stanley have got three prolific forwards in Paul Mullin, Lutel James and Simon Carden but Coleman wants more from them.

"They have got to put away chances and that comes down to practice. They have got to look at things and improve.

"They have got to take criticism on board and learn from it, all around the team.

"With that we should be up there."

Stanley are currently fourth in the table - but have played a couple more games than the teams around them - and will be looking to make it six wins on the bounce when Gainsborough Trinity visit the Crown Ground tonight.

"We got hammered off them on the opening day of the season," said Coleman of the 5-2 loss.

"I don't think we deserved it but it was one of those things.

"They have had a bad spell but have recently come out of it. We are, though, not worried about the opposition, just our performance. It is down to us.

"It is important for us to keep a run going now until the end of the season. We need to finish in the top four to do justice to our ability."

UNFORTUNATELY, David Ginola will not be coming to the Crown Ground.

Stanley made a cheeky enquiry about the wantaway Everton star last Friday to see if he would come to the Crown Ground until the end of the season.

But the Goodison Park club has confirmed he is staying there to help their battle against relegation.
