A CAR was set on fire in Mill Hill early today but firefighters are not linking it to recent arson attacks in the area.
Someone forced a side-back window of the car on Mill Hill Street, Blackburn, and set a child's baby seat on fire.
The owner, who was awoken by the car alarm, rushed outside, pulled the seat out and poured a bucket of water on it.
The fire was out by the time firefighters arrived on the scene. The car suffered smoke damage and the baby seat was destroyed.
Firefighters had earlier revealed that they suspected an arsonist was working in the Mill Hill area after a spate of suspicious fires over the past couple of months.
They have warned residents to be extra vigilant.
