A four-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital with a suspected broken thigh bone after a collision on a busy road.
The boy was flown to the Royal Preston Hospital by Lancashire Air Ambulance following the accident on Hyndburn Road, Accrington, at around 12.30pm yesterday.
He was kept in overnight for observation and his condition was today described as stable. His mum was by his side in the hospital.
Officers from the road policing unit at Accrington are investigating the incident but are yet to release any details.
