FORMER players from the North Lancashire league took part in their econ annual reunion earlier this month.
Around 20 clubs from the 1950s and 60s era were represented at Skerton Liberal Club, almost on the site of Acrelands, the former Skerton Old Boy's ground.
One of the first to arrive was Ken Moscrop, who played in the Bolton-le-Sands team that won the Lancashire Junior Shield in the late 1940s.
Ken, along with Bill Short, Stan Woodhouse, Paddy Rooke, Jimmy Mason, Gordon Mashiter (ex Powderhall sprinter), Eric Quick and Derek Ronson were guest of honour as 1940s players.
A minute's silence was held for former colleagues who had passed away and £400 was raised for Ward 37 of the Royal Lancaster Infirmary while photographs and other memorabilia were perused and mystery players identified.
