Clarets boss Stan Ternent promised there would be little transfer activity ahead of today's deadline but he has allowed one youngster to leave on loan.
Striker Anthony Shandran has joined Nationwide Conference side Stalybridge Celtic for the next month in a bid to gain more match experience.
The 20-year-old spent a similar loan spell with the Irish club St Patrick's Athletic earlier this year but the bad weather restricted him to little action in Dublin back in February.
The Stalybridge boss is someone who will know all about Shandran, as the former Claret David Miller is currently in charge at Bowler Fold.
Celtic are currently struggling in the Conference and Miller, who took over at the club earlier this month, will be hoping that Shandran can fire the goals to secure their safety.
The recent arrival of Robbie Blake and David Johnson has further increased the competition for places in attack and Shandran has still only made one appearance for the Clarets, as a substitute at Crewe Alexandra last season.
