LEIGH-based group Only One Mammal are playing at the Witchwood Club in Ashton-Under-Lyne on April 3.
The four-man group consists of Simon Lyon, aged 28 from Leigh, his wife Alison, aged 27, Ian Wynd, aged 22 from Salford, and Sean Lloyd, aged 30 from Newton-le-Willows.
Only One Mammal have been together for six-months and, having gone through various line-ups, are now satisfied that this is the real thing and are concentrating on securing a recording contract.
The band members write all their own material and describe themselves as a 'future rock band'.
Singer/song writer Simon Lyon, who was at Leigh College with three members of chart toppers Starsailor, said: "Our music is an indie-rock blend. You could say we are across between Travis and the Chemical Brothers -- a future rock band. We are into a whole range of good music, from The Beatles to drum and bass -- basically anything that pushes the boundaries."
After a successful gig at Liverpool's famous Cavern Club the band are bringing their material to the Witchwood Club in Old Street. The event starts at 7.30pm and entrance is £3.
