A POPULAR fund-raising 'trudge' around Darwen returns this spring after missing last year due to foot and mouth.
More than 200 people are expected for the eight-mile walk organised by Darwen Rotary Club on May 5.
It starts and finishes at the kiosk in Sunnyhurst Woods and takes in Darwen Tower, Tockholes and Bold Venture Park.
Rotary officials plan the event so that smaller organisations or single entrants can concentrate on raising money for themselves.
Officers from Bolton Mountain Rescue have been booked as a first-aid precaution.
The entrance fee is £2 for adults and £1 for children - each young entrant receives a certificate.
Anyone wanting entry forms should call 01254 701273 or turn up at 9.30am on the day.
