POLICE are appealing for help in tracing the last steps of a man found dead in the canal at Leigh.
Frank Dickinson's body was found in the water near English Street on Sunday, March 10.
The 61-year-old, who was from Leigh, was seen in the Boars Head pub in Market Street on Saturday evening. He is believed to have left at about 7.30pm and to have gone to The Globe in Bradshawgate.
Police do not know what time he left The Globe, or where he went afterwards. They believe somebody may have spotted him in the Bradshawgate or Chapel Street area.
He was white, about 5ft 6in tall and wearing a dark blue jacket. He was also wearing a jumper, a green shirt, black trousers, dark shoes and a gold necklace.
