ALTHOUGH my mother doesn't live in the Lower Ridge home for the elderly in Burnley, she goes there for her meals as I work full-time.
So it's not only those who live in these homes but also those who use their services who will be hit by their closure.
My mother is able to stay and have a chat when she has had her meals at Lower Ridge and it gives me peace of mind to know she is being cared for during the day.
She is 86, so what will happen to her if she loses the company that she gets when she goes there?
MRS BROWN, Athletic Street, Burnley.
