A WOMAN has been found dead in her bath -- just 24 hours after getting engaged.
Tragic mother-of-two Sam Fogg, 22 - described by her mum as 'a daughter in a million' - is believed to have suffered an epileptic fit and was found by her fiance Shane Moore at her home in Selkirk Street, Burnley.
Just hours before, the happy couple had been shopping for a ring and discussing wedding plans.
Shane had proposed to Sam just a day before tragedy struck.
Her mother Shirley, 46, of Como Avenue, Burnley, said: "They had been together for about four months and they got engaged on Tuesday and had been out to buy the ring on Wednesday morning.
"She was my only daughter and so of course she was a daughter in a million. Her death has devastated everyone and even though I have seen her it still really hasn't sunk in what has happened. It has crucified her brother Kevin."
She said Shane was devastated at Sam's death and he was being comforted by his parents. He was too upset to comment.
Sam's best friend of 18 years Joni Simcock, of Hufling Lane, Burnley, said: "She was the happiest I had known her in years and she was looking forward to a bright future.
"They were planning to buy a house together and they had just bought a car."
Sam had been diagnosed with epilepsy when she was five and had learned to cope with it by taking medication.
At one stage Joni said she was having fits every week, but her condition had improved and her last fit had been a month ago.
She worked at Connections in Briercliffe and for British Gas on telephone sales and was devoted to her six-year-old daughter and four-year-old son, who are being looked after by friends
Sam had lived in the house in Selkirk Street for three years and was a former pupil of Hargher Clough Primary and Ivy Bank High School.
Joni said: "She was very lively, bubbly and the life and soul of the party. She was also a chatterbox and you couldn't get a word in edgeways.
"She was a very confident person and didn't let the epilepsy control her life. She was into very sloppy love songs and adored Titanic."
Her funeral will take place next Friday at midday at Burnley Crematorium when her favourite song, Celine Dion's 'My Heart Will Go On', will be played along with Leanne Rimes' 'Can't Find The Moonlight'.
A post mortem examination will be carried out on Tuesday and acting East Lancashire coroner Richard Taylor has been informed.
