THERE'S been no stopping Bury's Stephen Kershaw in this week's qualifiers for the Regal Scottish Snooker Championship at Burton-Upon-Trentwrites PHIL THORP.
In the first round the town's fast rising star opened up with a 93 break to see off the challenge of Thailand's Noppadol Noppachorn by a 5-3 scoreline.
Then in round two Welshman Philip Williams was unmercifully put to the sword as the local man raced into an early 4-0 lead to eventually triumph 5-1.
Merseysider Rod Lawler was the next for the Kershaw treatment and he was blasted out of his world top 64 placing after taking a 5-1 beating.
Today, in the fourth round, Kershaw takes on Basildon's Stuart Bingham who is ranked 44th in the world and London's Joe Perry awaits the winner in the televised stages.
