CLITHEROE'S Neil Reynolds could be out for 12 months after snapping his cruciate ligament.
The Blues midfielder suffered a slight tear in the ligament earlier this month but was told it may heal on its own.
But it snapped while the player was warming-up.
He joins his engine room partner Carl Greenwood - who broke his leg a fortnight ago - on the sidelines.
Lee Cryer is also out with a knee injury but he could return next week.
The Blues meet Abbey Hey at home on Saturday and manager Lee Sculpher says he will not accept less effort from his side just because they have 'little to play for.'
"I am looking for same effort and commitment now as I was in September and October and if I don't get it I will have no hesitation in throwing in a few reserve players," said Sculpher.
"I have a squad of 16 but there are a couple of reserve team players who could push their way in.
"We want to win as many games as possible between now and the end of the season."
CLITHEROE play Great Harwood away on Monday.
