A MAN who drove away from a trailer centre at Gisburn auction mart with a £2,500 trailer hitched to his vehicle was arrested after crashing while being chased by the owner.
Blackburn magistrates heard that the Isuzu Trooper driven by Robert Gordon Alderson had earlier been stolen in Manchester.
Alderson, 31, of Fairfield Walk, Sunnybrow, Willington, Durham, pleaded guilty to handling the stolen car, theft of the trailer, dangerous driving, driving while disqualified and without insurance.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Bishop Auckland magistrates on April 10 when he is due to be dealt with for offences of burglary and disqualified driving.
