YOUNGSTERS between the ages of seven and 14 could win a prize and the honour of carrying a message of friendship from Blackburn to the Queen.
Ten winners will take turns in a relay to carry the message in the Blackburn with Darwen Council competition.
They will each win a gift voucher, a certificate and a copy of the message to be sent to the Queen from the Mayor and Mayoress, Coun John and Sheila Williams.
The council wants the entrants to write no more than 100 words on "What friendship means to me."
The relay will take place at the athletics track in Witton Park in Blackburn and forms part of the Festival of Friendship and Commonwealth Games Celebrations.
The closing date is Friday May 10.
