MPs can enjoy a comfortable retirement pension after 20 years service, which would cost their constituents more than £630,000 to buy in the private sector.
With a backbench MP earning £51,822, his or her index-linked pension would provide an income of £28,000 a year in retirement. I am in the wrong job!
Only now am I fully realising that I was in the wrong job!
