RAMSBOTTOM and Tottington Area Board is trying out a new venue on April 9 for its regular public meeting.
Tottington High School, in Laurel Street, Tottington, will be the setting for the meeting, which starts at 7pm.
Area co-ordinator Michael Ormerod, will be presenting the first monitoring report on the Local Community Plan for Ramsbottom and Tottington. It will look at the achievements since the plan was launched in October.
He said: "This is an important milestone and we will hopefully be able to report on a number of key successes.
"The meeting will be a busy one and, coupled with the fact that it is at a new venue, we hope more people will come along and raise issues of concern, ask questions, or put forward ideas about their local community."
Area board chairman Coun Dorothy Gunther, said: "The agenda is looking full with the usual 45 minutes open forum and other regular items, including an update on local policing issues by the township inspector, a progress report and update on items raised on the last meeting and a wide range of Kickstart and Community Chest grant applications to consider.
"Additionally, we are asking local people to help us find suitable sites for new mini-recycling points which are to be established around the area."
