A MAN was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital on Friday night with minor burns to his knee and hand after a family party went horribly wrong.
It is believed two men were caught by a backflash after throwing a tin of paint thinners into a small bonfire in their garden during a party.
Fire and ambulance crews were called to Acres Brook Walk in Tottington at 1Opm.
Ambulance crews say the man was released after treatment.
The second man also suffered minor burns to his hand, but did not require hospital treatment. The men have not been named.
