POLICE are investigating a spate of car fires in Radcliffe at the weekend, which may be linked.
Firefighters were called ou to tackle four separate blazes on Friday night (March 22).
The first vehicle, a Nissan Micra, was found alight at 8.30pm in Church Street East. Firefighters later tackled a nearby fire at Radcliffe's Metrolink car park, where a burning Renault 19 was extinguished at 1am.
Another vehicle, a Rover Metro, was found torched in Eton Hill Road, where firefighters arrived at 2.30am.
The fourth incident involved a Ford Fiesta, which was made safe by crews at 6.30am, after being discovered in Warth Fold Road.
Police suspect the cars were deliberately set alight and are investigating a possible link.
