PRESTWICH and Whitefield CND congratulate David Chaytor MP on his decision to oppose President Bush's policy of bombing Iraq. Not having heard of any such move from Ivan Lewis MP, we sincerely hope that he has or soon will arrive at the same political decision, so there will be unity between Bury North and Bury South.
For the Bush administration it is not a matter of if, but when and how, the war with Iraq will start. This American policy, together with the refusal to sign the Kyoto agreement, brings us to the point where American policy appears to be hell-bent on some ghastly race between poisoning our globe to extinction or blasting it into a desert.
