THE 95-year-old drinking fountain in Sunnyhurst Woods is now restored thanks to a £3,250 lottery grant.
The fountain has not been used to drink from since 1980, and the work has sealed off the water supply to leave it as a historical monument.
The Friends of Sunnyhurst Woods, the group of local residents who obtained the funding, wanted the fountain to be restored so future generations could enjoy it.
The group is now trying to restore the area around the fountain to exactly how it was 95 years ago.
