WHAT is becoming of Bamber Bridge a village I was once proud to live in?
Rubbish, litter, beer cans and worse of all broken bottles and glass strewn the streets and and pavements.
Then there are the pavements which are themselves a mismatch of badly repaired Tarmac and an eyesore to anyone who sees them. The leisure centre, although kept immaculately clean and tidy, needs investment to bring it up to a decent 2002 standard.
On the plus side we have a modern police station but, unfortunately, no officers are to be seen to man it. I cannot remember the last time I saw bobby on the beat in Bamber Bridge.
Perhaps it is a sign of the times spending money on buildings not personnel.
Bamber Bridge councillors should take a look around the village then they can see for themselves what a mess it has become and do something about it before it is to late.
