TWO Burnley schools have been taking part in a national project aimed at promoting the three Rs -- reduce, re-use and recycle.
Children from Barden Juniors and Stoneyholme Community Primary schools have been discovering how they can play a part in reducing the amount of rubbish being sent to landfill sites. Organised by Groundwork East Lancashire and supported by Biffa Waste Services and Burnley Borough Council, the project used stories, puzzles and practical projects to show how they can reduce the amount of waste they create.
