NERVY Lancashire scrambled to a two wickets win over Western Province in South Africa to clinch a place in tomorrow's triangular final under the Newlands lights.
Graham Lloyd was the hero with a superb 64 as Lancashire chased a rain-reduced target of 193 off 41 overs after restricting WP to 199-8.
But, with just a single needed for victory, Lloyd was dismissed by ex-East Lancashire seamer Alan Dawson who finished with the remarkable return of 4-18 from 8.4 overs.
Lancashire lost two more wickets, failing to score off the next 10 balls, but Peter Martin grabbed the winning run.
