TWO mobile phone companies have applied to erect antennae and dishes in Blackburn town centre.
Hutchinson 3G Ltd and Orange both want to put the equipment on a rooftop in Jubilee Street.
It will be used to support the third generation mobile phones, due to become commonplace over the next year.
They provide better quality connections and enable people to use more internet sites from their phone.
