SOMETHING for everyone is the proud pledge from Blackpool's Winter Gardens this year with the announcement of its full 2002 summer season.
And it's a sizzler led by monster musicals Fame (June 10-15), Whistle Down The Wind (Oct 14-26 ), Joseph and His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat (July 22-Aug 3), Blood Brothers (Sep 2-21) and the strangely-titled The Return of Return To The Forbidden Planet (Oct 28-Nov 2).
On April 20, 27 and 28 it's Hits from Great Musicals time with more than 1500 children from 34 dancing schools performing favourite West End tunes.
The Comedians returns for a series of Sunday evening shows with stand-up stars such as Stan Boardman, Roy Walker and Radio Lancashire's Jim Bowen from July 7.
Children's favourite The BFG (Big Friendly Giant) from Roald Dahl comes alive on stage from July 9-15 in a 20th anniversary production.
Lord of the Dance is back from Aug 6-31 with one of Ireland's most famous legends. Blackpool favourite Joe Longthorne is in concert with special guests including Johnnie Casson and Barracade from October 5-12.
And The Good Olde Days are in the Pavilion Theatre starring Mike Terry, Duggie Clarke, Tony Del Rey and Peter Lindop on selected dates in May, June, July and October.
Finally East meets West is an amazing Titanic and Tek Sing Exhibition with approximately 1,200 artefacts, most of which have never been seen in public on display at the Pavilion and Horseshoe from July 22 to September 3.
Sales and marketing executive for Leisure Parcs Jon Sheehy said: "The summer season promises to be a blistering success. "We have a host of shows lined up to give families the opportunity to see wonderful productions right on their doorstep. In fact, there is something to suit everyone."
