RESIDENTS are being invited to put local politicians in the hot seat by taking part in a specially adapted version of the popular BBC political debate programme, Question Time - in Morecambe.
Representatives from each of Lancaster City Council' s political groups will form the top table panel and provide the answers to the questions YOU ask.
The event, to be held at Morecambe Town Hall on Thursday 11 April at 7.30pm, follows a similar event held at Lancaster Town Hall late last year as part of
Local Democracy Week.
That event saw politicians answer a wide range of questions from their views on the M6 Link Road to current council tax rates and issues surrounding a growing student population.
As with the Lancaster event, we want YOU to form our audience to next week's event.
The night's agenda is up to you.
Audience members can ask a question and follow up with a supplementary question.
A chairman will be on hand to ensure fairness and impartiality! So, if you've every wanted to know what councillors do, been outraged or overjoyed by a decision they've taken or just want to find out their plans for the district's future then this event is for you.
The top table panellists will be: Cllr Tricia Heath (Independent) Cllr Abbott Bryning (Labour)
Cllr James Airey (Conservative) Cllr John Gilbert (Liberal Democrat) Cllr Jon Barry (Green)
