A FORMER housing developer who continued to be aggressive and abusive to police more than five hours after he was arrested has been banned from a Bury town centre pub for a year.
Paul Kiely, aged 37, was arrested for being drunk and disorderly outside the Chicago Rock pub and was placed in police cells. Kiely, of Brooks Farm, Hawkshaw, Bury, shouted and swore at officers at the police station.
He pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly and causing criminal damage.
In addition to the 12-month exclusion order from the Chicago Rock pub, Kiely was also given 100 hours community punishment, fined £500 and ordered to pay costs of £69 with £5 compensation.
