Stand Athletic...2 Daisy Hill...2
LEE Anderson was a hero at the double for Stand on Wednesday night as they came from behind twice to share the points with Daisy Hill.
The Westhoughton outfit took a first half lead through left back Steve Brockley before Anderson was on hand in the 65th minute to snap up a gift after Daisy Hill's keeper dropped a Simon Hannan free-kick.
Brockley restored Hill's lead in the 70th minute, but in a dramatic finale Stand were reduced to ten men when centre back Dave Shannon was sent off for kicking out after a tackle before Anderson was brought down in the 89th minute and Steve Stott smashed in his fourth penalty in two games to pinch a point.
Stand will miss out on promotion to the NWCL Dvision One next season. A league spokesman confirmed: "Stand's ground does not meet the minimum criteria for promotion, so they won't go up."
