SECURITY is being increased at a Leigh electrical store after more than £1000 worth of stock was stolen.
Thieves broke into the Minster Electronics' Railway Road store around 8pm on Easter Monday after removing a steel door. They dismantled intruder alarms and took several Dyson vacuum cleaners, cameras, sailing gear, scanners and a CD writer.
Police recovered four cleaners from a nearby back street and are continuing investigations.
Mark Cuthbert, co-owner, said: "We have increased security -- particularly to the outside of the shop. We have been burgled both here and at our Atherton branch a few times over the years and each time we take steps to increase security."
