I HAVE it on very good authority that Bury's ambulance service is going to lose its one and only Rapid Response Vehicle (RRV) to Rochdale, whilst Bolton, which has two RRVs, will keep them both. Are Bolton and Rochdale more important than us in Bury?
Being Bury born and bred, with all my family and loved ones residing in the borough, I felt confident in the knowledge that 24 hours a day, seven days a week, there was an RRV paramedic within minutes if, God forbid, anything did go wrong.
Can Greater Manchester Ambulance Service explain how an RRV based in Rochdale can travel to Bury in a response time quick enough to save a life? Remember, three minutes without breathing and you can be brain-damaged for life.
