A MAN who burst into a children's party and threatened to kill his sister has been jailed.
The children looked on in fear as Carl Collier threatened to kill his sister, Suzanne, after claiming that she had taken away some of the tablets he was taking.
He chased her to a toilet, where she locked herself inside, Bolton Crown Court heard.
Collier, aged 26, of Edale Close, Atherton, admitted making threats to kill, dangerous driving and driving while disqualified.
Recorder Richard Brittain jailed him for 27 months and disqualified him from driving for three years. The court heard that Collier had also stolen a car which he crashed after failing to stop for police.
Collier's previous convictions dated back to 1989 and included burglary, robbery and attempting to pervert the course of justice. At the time of the offences he was out of prison on licence from a five-year sentence.
