A PAIR of colleagues from a Ribchester-based advertising company will take part in two major marathons to raise over £1,000 for charity.
Helen Goodwin, 34, is taking part in the London Marathon for the second time and Nita Jones, 46, is walking the same distance at the 2002 Playtex Moonwalk.
Helen, from Clayton-le-Moors, is an experienced runner and hopes to break four hours when she raises money for Women's Aid Wash, the Blackburn charity that supports victims of domestic abuse.
Nita, from Ribchester, is stepping out at a more stately pace with 10,000 other women at the stroke of midnight in Battersea Park on May 11.
All the women in Battersea will wear Playtex bras to raise money for cancer care and research.
Nita said: "When they asked if I was interested I jumped at it with both feet. I'm doing the walk for fun and hoping to raise as much as I can for what is really a good cause."
The pair from Workhouse Creative Marketing said that if anyone wished to contribute they could ring Nita on 01254 878956.
