FOUR homes are likely to be built in Crawshawbooth, despite six letters of objection.
Councillors at the development control meeting on Wednesday wil be recommended to approve the plans for Fern Lea, Burnley Road.
Outline permission was granted in July last year but councillors have still to determine the full details of the application.
The development is in a large private garden attached to Fern Lea overlooking Burnley Road and accessed by Turton Hollow Road. Four homes with four to five bedrooms are proposed.
Objections have been received from Burnley Road, North View and the prospective purchaser of an adjacent house which lies south of the application site.
Three letters take issue with the ownership declarations made by the applicant and all six are concerned about the loss of informal residents' parking.
The officer will report the responsibility for correct declarations of ownership lies with the applicant and agent and the highway agency has already accepted the access to the property.
The officer concludes: "Notwithstanding objections raised with regard to the impact of the development upon existing access, and informal parking arrangements affecting local residents, it must be acknowledged that outline planning permission has been granted for the erection of four detached dwellings.
"The design, layout and appearance of the proposed development is judged to be appropriate to its location and the retention of the majority of mature trees on site will assist in the maintenance of a high standard of amenity to the locality."
