A PARROT with the ability to mimic a cat's meow is still missing, more than a week after he escaped from his garden.
Kai, an African Grey, took off from his garden in Manxman Road, Blackburn, a week last Saturday after he had been put out to enjoy the sun and get his daily exercise.
His owner is desperate to see him return home safe.
Karen Carter, 27, has urged anybody who may have seen Kai in the area to contact her.
She said: "We have had a few phone calls of sightings but still haven't had any luck.
"We have been told that parrots can be gone for weeks but they do return home so we have not given up hope."
Kai is described as intelligent with a wide vocabulary. His favourite sound being a cat's meow.
Anyone who sees him can contact Mrs Carter on 01254 696172. He is said to be of average size, dark grey, with a red tail.
