THE Bishop of Blackburn seems to have totally lost the plot when he blames the malaise in our public services on 'blame culture' (LET, April 1).

For far too long the managers and employees in these services have not been accountable for their performance and any actions to make them accountable can only be welcomed.

Until the management of these services is improved they deserve all they get.
