INDIAN, Pakistani and white youngsters aged ten to 17 broke down barriers and enjoyed musical multi-cultural percussion and DJ workshops at Burnley Mechanics..
The day ended with the youngsters performing a joint concert, entitled Bhang, for an audience of 200.
Organisers Ankit Pogula, 20, from Hyderabad, India, and Dominic Howard from London, are currently on a Voluntary Services Overseas exchange, living and working on community projects in Burnley.
Bhang was arranged as part of Burnley's £100,000 Home Office-funded holiday activity programme 'Shout' to promote understanding between young people from different ethnic groups.
