A DIRECTOR of a Great Harwood firm which went out of business leaving debts of thousands of pounds, has agreed not to be a director or take part in any company management for six years.
John Kendall, a director of Seymour Fletcher and Morris in St Lawrence Street, Great Harwood, had to give an undertaking that he would not to hold a directorship or take part in company management for the next six years, after the firm, and another in Bury, failed leaving debts of around £162,000.
The undertaking is in light of findings by the Insolvency Service, an agency of the Department of Trade and Industry, which found Mr Kendall had failed to co-operate with liquidators fully when they were preparing accounting records after the company went into liquidation in April 1999.
The finding means Mr Kendall, of Roose Road, Barrow, cannot be a director of a company or in any way, whether directly or indirectly, be concerned with the promotion, formation or management of a company for six years.
