SPONSORSHIP forms are available around town for the annual eight-mile Darwen 'Tower Trudge'.
The walk through Sunnyhurst Woods, Darwen Tower, Tockholes and Bold Venture Park is organised by the Darwen Rotary Club.
It is intended to be an event where smaller organisations or single entrants can avoid the headache of planning a charity event and join in with the Rotary Club.
The money entrants raise will go to their chosen charity, although they have to pay a £2 fee to the Rotary Club.
Bolton Mountain Rescue have been booked in case first aid is needed. The event is now in its 12th year, and raised £5,000 when it last took place in 2000. It was cancelled in 2001 due to the foot and mouth crisis.
Sponsorship forms are available in Darwen from the Rainbow Children's Nursery, Mark Graham Hairdressers, the Halifax Building Society, Darwen TV Services, Darwen Law Chambers or by calling 01254 701273.
