MORE than 300 people took to the hills of Rossendale on a three-mile sponsored run on memory of Jane Heys.
The member of Sion Baptist Church in Higher Cloughfold, died last August from cancer of the colon aged 51.
The fun run was organised by her friends, and fellow members of the church where she was a deacon, to help raise money for the Rossendale Hospice at home service, a facility Jane was one of the first to use.
It enabled the mother-of-two to receive first-rate care in her own home rather than having to go into a hospice.
