I TOOK advantage of the Easter Holiday to visit my favourite badger sett.
On the evening of Good Friday I watched a boar badger emerge and when he had a good sniff around first a female and then a cub came out.
On my way home I visited a fox's earth and saw two young cubs playing outside the entrance.
Seeing badger and fox cubs so early in the year was a pleasant surprise.
Spring is a wonderful time of the year.
All young animals look attractive but to see these cubs within two hours of each other was a particular delight.
