ICAN sympathise with the writer who had her car bumped and the perpetrator had just driven off (Letters, March 21).
We parked our car near to the police station in Burnley and were still in it when an impatient driver drove between our car and one coming the other way.
He or she bashed in our car's mirror, scraped the car and bumped the back wheel arch.
Startled, we got out of the car, but the driver didn't even slow down -- and was nowhere in sight.
He or she must have known what they'd done and 'hopefully' damaged his or her car in the process -- as it was an expensive bump for us and one we could have done without.
KATHLEEN BULCOCK (Mrs), Wilkie Avenue, Burnley.
