IT is ridiculous of Blackburn with Darwen Council, after all these years that daffodils have been planted in verges to even contemplate mowing any of them down, whatever the reason.
If, as was stated, some are causing problems for drivers on grassed areas close to road junctions or roundabouts, why can't they be dug up after they have flowered and relocated somewhere else close by?
This is the same argument that was raised over the winter snow. When the snow melted, the problem was miraculously solved, until next year!
We should all have realised by now that, by expecting the council to learn by their mistakes, we are expecting far too much!
