SHOPLIFTER Paul Whittles was seen by police attempting to sell goods stolen from a store.
Whittles of Tennyson Avenue, Bury, pleaded guilty to theft and admitted he had taken the goods to raise money to fund his drug habit.
Bury magistrates ordered Whittles to undergo a one-year drug treatment programme and pay court costs of £70.
