A THIEF stole a man's gold ring from a stall in Accrington market on Sunday, March 31, at around 3.20pm after asking to try it on.
The thief, along with an accomplice, tried on the ring, in the shape of a horse's head with bridle and reins, before running off still wearing the ring. The stallholder gave chase, but the pair escaped.
The first is described as white, 6ft tall, with a shaved head, and was wearing a blue thigh-length anorak, blue jeans and dark suede boots.
The second is described as white, 5ft 3ins tall, with dark, scruffy facial hair and was wearing a dark bob hat and a white jacket.
