Clarets reserve team boss Ronnie Jepson takes a youthful side to Huddersfield Town tonight.
The Clarets second string have just three games left and could make a late assault on the top of the Avon Insurance League's Premier Division.
However, first team considerations come into play and Jepson was looking forward to seeing how his younger players fare against a Terriers side who were beaten 2-0 at Turf Moor just last week.
"We have got three games to go and if we won them mathematically we could get to the top," said Jepson.
"But we will be playing all those three games with the younger players.
"Obviously first team considerations come first, especially as we are going for the play-offs, and that is what matters at the club.
"But we aim to go out there and get a win and it will be nice to see how one or two of the younger players manage with playing at this level.
"It is a good chance for them to make an impression and get some good experience under their belts."
The Clarets could face a strong Terriers side with experienced strikers Chris Hay and Andy Booth playing for the Huddersfield second team at Turf Moor last week.
However, the Clarets came through that night with goals from winger Bradley Maylett and defender Earl Davis.
