A COMMUNITY rallied together to keep its streets clean.
Bank Top Community Centre supported a clean-up campaign by the Parents Action for the Community and Town to pick up litter.
Linda Ryden, community development officer at Bank Top, said: "It was a huge success and will probably be repeated every few months. If the area is clean and tidy people are more likely to keep it that way."
Children who helped enjoyed a disco in the evening. The effort was supported by Blackburn with Darwen Council who provided two skips and protective equipment for the dirt-busting team.
