SUSAN Blackwell has adopted cycling as a hobby, in a bid to lose weight.
The mother-of-one of Green Park Close, Blackburn, was inspired by the Lose a Spare Tyre campaign, organised by Lancashire County Council.
And now she cycles five miles twice a week around Pleasington and Witton Park. She has already lost more than a stone in weight but vows to keep on pedalling until she reaches her target of two stones.
She said: "The campaign was run to inspire people to leave their cars at home and cycle to work, but that is not always possible. It did inspire me to use my bike though and I love it."
Susan is an administration officer at Wensleyfold Primary School in Manor Road.
